Windows 7 Upgrade and Full Now Available For Pre-order At Amazon
The wait is finally over as Windows 7 is now available for pre-order. You’ve been waiting for this, right? Windows 7 will be like Vista, but better. This is what Microsoft promised when officially launched Windows 7, but this is what Steve Ballmer said about Vista: it’s XP, but better. I’m tired of these words, but Windows 7 RC looks good and maybe it’s indeed better.
If you are going to buy Windows 7 without any reviews, then you will pay a mere $49.99 to upgrade from Vista Home Premium, and $99.99 to upgrade from Vista Professional to Windows 7 Professional. Please note that these are the official prices at Amazon, while the official Microsoft prices can be found here. Amazon said that Windows 7 will be shipped on time meaning on October 22, and it warns customers that the pre-order units are limited.
The situation is very different when it comes to Europe versions. Microsoft doesn’t know what they will do with Windows 7 in Europe. The OS will be shipped without Internet Explorer 8, and the upgrades will be expensive due to antitrust. The EU will not allow Microsoft to offer proper discounts for upgrades, but we can’t understand why Mac OS X Snow Leopard will ship for $30.
