Ok, let’s be honest, there is a chance that this could prove out to be a fake, sadly. But, just bear with me on this one and maybe we’ll get somewhere, but considering that the supposedly leaked photos come from China, things don’t look too pink. The source of the photos says that they show Nokia XpressMusic 5800’s successor, which is Nokia XpressMusic 5900, obviously. Pretty straight forward until here. Some of the specs include a 5 Megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss lens, 3.5 inch touchscreen, a 3.5m headphone jack and an integrated active kick stand just like on the N96 and the Nokia N86. The source also says something about a lack of 3G, which makes things blurry once again, because it isn’t likely that 5900 will not have 3g while 5800 has, or maybe Nokia has some weird strategic moves up their sleeves… or maybe not.
Furthermore it will be based on the S60 5th edition and will hopefully feature N97 like active standby with support for widgets? It is also said that the whole phone will be slimmer than its predecessor. You are free to think whatever you want, but for me this doesn’t sound very convincing. Let’s just hope, as always, that more reliable information surfaces the web soon.
