This is probably the most disturbing video I have ever seen. I dunno the exact reason, but this has left me without any words and I’m thinking whether to leave my possibly future kids to have a license. This movie is called “The story tale of Cassie Cowan” and it’s a public service announcement made in the UK. It’s purpose is to prevent texting while driving among teens who just got themselves their driving license.
Cassie Cowan, “a nice girl from a nice Gwent valleys family”, kills four people on the road because she was texting while driving. She was “just” using her cellphone, but she got distracted and was involved in a car accident with stunning consequences. According to a report, 18-24 year-old people react 35% slower if they’re reading or writing a SMS text message, which means that it’s almost the same as if they’d drink of drug driving. The same report says that 50% of 12-24 year olds read or write a text message while driving.
Words are pointless now. Watch the video below and see the possible outcome of texting while driving.
