Designed by Jens Schardetzki, the Tixx induction cooking system comes fitted with RFID tags and sensors that inform the user about the identity and temperature. Tixx comprises two induction hobs that can be used either open as two single hot plates or closed when you need heat from two sides for cooking, like the way you use a barbeque grill, sandwich maker, waffle iron or a toaster.
The RFID sensor is a piezo electric material that is amalgamated into the plastic and it transmits info about the identity and temperature to the induction hob. It ensures automated control for each cooking appliance and thus, there arises no need for wires, switches or extra- sensors. Two big pans can be placed on the Tixx easily, thanks to the proper distance kept between the two induction hobs. The cooking appliances you use for Tixx need to have a ferromagnetic material at their bottom. Above everything, the Tixx induction cooking system is high on aesthetics.
