T-Mobile Adds 325,000 Subscribers In Second Quarter
Filed under : General
T-Mobile USA, the fourth largest wireless company has added 325,000 subscribers in the second quarter. Most of the new subscribers have chosen prepaid contracts instead of post-paid. Most of Verizon and AT&T’s subscribers are contract-signing due to the carriers’ abilities to subsidize the cost of high-end mobile phones.
Sprint and T-Mobile both compete for lower paying customers. By the end of the second quarter earlier this week, T-Mobile said that they have 33.5 million customers. Of the 33.5 million customers, only 5.7 million customers were on contract. T-Mobile revenue dropped from $5.47 billion last year to $5.34 billion this year.
