Sprint To Sell HTC Touch Pro 2 On September 8, Other Smartphones Rumored
God we love rumors which are backed by actual leaks. Although it somewhat reduces the fun, we prefer it this way as we can tell a lie from a truth, and that’s good, right? The latest leak concerns Sprint and HTC, and it seems like we’re getting another cool smartphone on September 8. If it were to trust this screenshot pointing to a computer with an internal memo from Sprint which says that the HTC Touch Pro 2 will become available on September 8 then this is exactly what you will get.
Although neither Sprint or HTC announced something so far, we can say that the HTC Touch Pro 2 will hit Sprint’s retail stores as of September 8 for a price of $599.99. However this is the unsubsidized and rebate-free price therefore we can expect the touchscreen smartphone to cost somewhere around $200.
Other than that the SprintUsers user who leaked the shot also posted other screenshots and a PDF which made a comparison between the Touch Pro 2, AT&T LG Monaco, HTC Warhawk, and Verizon Samsung Omnia 2. The thing is that neither of these handsets are released so far, but now we’re gladly waiting for them.
At the moment we can only wait Sprint, AT&T, and Verizon to make the phones official. It’s not that hard, but we guess that they have some minor details to take care of.
