Sprint just announced a new line of personal routers. Both of these routers will let you enjoy your Sprint 3G or WiMax connection to notebooks, netbooks, mobile phones and even Eye-Fi cards.
The differences between the two routers are the size and capacity: the smaller Personal Hotspot, called the PHS300S, lets you connect to four devices while the bigger Personal Hotspot, called the MBR-1000, lets 32 persons hook up to the router. It is also aimed for office setup. Although neither as superior as the MiFi (also available from Sprint), the two new routers are also definitely something that will help us for all our Internet-connecting needs.
The PHS300S will retail for $160 while the MBR-1000 is priced at $250. These routers can only work for areas that offer WiMax (Sprint will be expanding to Portland, Atlanta and Las Vegas in August).
