Sports Interactive To Release Football Manager 2010 On October 30
Sports Interactive has released a statement which says that Football Manager 2010 will be available for both Windows PC and Mac OS X on October 30th, while Football Manager Handheld 2010 for Sony PSP is also slated for that date. Football Manager 2009 was the most successful game from the series as it was sold in over 1 million units worldwide (I’m a proud owner of this great game) and you can say that FM is the best manager game in the world.
Football Manager 2010 comes packed with lots of new features, bug fixes, and other long-standing issues. FM 2010 will feature:
- improved match engine: new animations in 3D-mode, new stadiums, crowds, improved pitch.
- new UI: new “vibrant” look, light and dark skin, improved navigation, intuitive system tab, and more.
- tactical overhaul: new tactics module, touchline “shout” instructions.
- match analysis: SI has developed a tool which will show a manager how the players did: where their shots went, crosses, tackles, headers, fouls, passes, and interceptions. The tool displays how your players did, and even how the opposition’s players did so that you can address your’s and their’s weaknesses.
- new data editor: improved data editor, possibility to add new competitions.
- News Center: inspired by the Internet, gamers will be able to setup a subscription reader, meaning that they can choose which news to display, which news not to display.
- polish: FM 2010 will be a whole lot faster, more immersive, more realistic, and easier to play than FM 2009.
Football Manager Handheld 2010 will also come packed with lots of new features including new skin, improved match engine, new unlockable managerial abilities, Assistant Manager reports, improved coach and coaching system, and improved scout reports.
Sounds promising, right? Well, let’s just wait for October 30 to come.
