Sharp Mirumo 934SH Has Two-Face LCDs
We’ve known for years that Japan has some pretty amazing gadgets, if you think about it. That’s not coincidence nor it is a luck of the Japanese. It just so happens they think more out of the box than we do, which results to their fantastic (sometimes incredulous-looking) devices.
The Sharp Mirumo 934SH is no different; both in its design and function. It has a waterproof clamshell that is dual-sided, making it a nice companion for people who likes taking self-portraits. When open, it has a full-color screen display. But when you close it, its “memory” LCD has a low-power backside that’s set to black and white.
The outer display can be programmed to support various applications and animations, including the popular self-portrait preview. “Instead of displaying your actual face on the screen, you just see whether or not your mug is properly framed,” Mark Wilson from Gizmodo said. This saves a humongous amount of time trying to frame yourself when taking a self-photo.
There is no announcement yet how much this will cost in Japan, but I’m pretty sure like all other Japanese-made gadgets, we’d be far remove from its market. If you want it, better hound Sharp now to take it to the West Coast.
