Official: Microsoft Zune HD Available On September 15 For $220 / $290
Yesterday we reported that the Zune HD might become available on September 15 and that the pricing tags were $220 for the 16GB model and $290 for the 32GB one. Well, this is now official as Microsoft updated the Zune HD website and unveiled a press release that contains more details about the multimedia player.
The Zune HD features a 3.3-inch OLED display with a 16:9 aspect ratio and 480 x 272 resolution, multitouch, integrated HD Radio receiver to listen to HD Radio stations, HD video out to watch HD TV shows and movies on your HDTV via the Zune HD and AV Dock, WiFi, full-featured web browser with tap-to-zoom technology, built-in accelerometer, and virtual QWERTY keyboard, and the Nvidia Tegra chip ultra low-power HD processor.
Microsoft’s Zune HD will be available for pre-order today for the aforementioned prices at Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart, and the Microsoft Store. If you really want to know why go for the Zune HD, then head to select Best Buy stores in Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Miami, Minneapolis/St. Paul, New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C., on August 22 and 23 and play with the device.
The design of the Zune HD is good. I like it. The gadget will not be too expensive and it’s got Nvidia Tegra there folks. Imagine what cool apps you can play on this thing. Can’t wait for September 15th!
