Sony came up with three new DSLRs–the A550 and the A500 for $1,050 and $850, respectively. Both have a twist-n-look flip-out LCD display screens although the more expensive A550 has 921,000 pixels. Both have an auto-HDR mode and new low-noise CMOS sensors (14.2 and 12.3 megapixels).
But their new A850 is more interesting with its similarity to its big brother, the A900. It has a 25-megapixel sensor, image stabilization, 98 percent viewfinder and slower continuous shooting speed of up to 5 frames per second.
The Sony A850 will come out in November for $2,000. The A500 and A550, meanwhile, will be arriving in October for the prices indicated above.
