This year’s GamesCon was awesome so far as we’ve seen a lot of games, although the most important aspect was the PS3 Slim. Now that we’ve moved on we are very excited to announce that Peter Molyneux is working on Fable 3 and that the game will be released sometime in 2010. The developer of the first 2 Fable games was present and GamesCon, where he unveiled Fable 3 “using” a very long and detailed presentation.
Molyneux is working with Lionhead Studios at the RPG, but he said that Fable-like RPGs have something wrong in them which has been there since the 80s therefore he will bring something new to the masses. The developer said that in Fable 1 “you’ve played in the Albion”, in Fable 2 “you became a hero” while in Fable 3 “you will become the ruler of the Albion.”
Peter wants to offer players a new gaming experience, and to give them more responsability. If you want to rule the Albion then you will “make some promises.” Users will have to help the poor by lowering taxes and many more. If you die then this won’t be the end as you will have a family meaning that your kids will prince prince or princess, and eventually kings or queens.
Like aforementioned Fable 3 will become available sometime in 2010, but Mr. Molyneux said that we shouldn’t expect it in early-2010. OK, we won’t wait it in early 2010 but we will expect to see it at ComicCon or even at next-year’s GamesCon. Stay tuned for more information!
