The Ashes
isoHunt Reveals World’s First Social BitTorrent File Sharing Website
Everybody is trying to go legit today, and this is a good thing. The internet is entering a new era, and this is era is different from the past one. As The Pirate Bay case has not been solved yet, there are many who miss their beloved website and are looking to share their files somewhere else. The next big thing on the internet is that torrent websites are going social as isoHunt has introduced Hexagon.cc, a social media file sharing website.
It’s only at the beginning and Hexagon.cc doesn’t feature millions of torrents links with the latest movies, games, and music, but it’s a place where you can share files only with the people you want. Users can create private groups, and SSL-protected groups where only your friends can see what you are sharing. If you own the content then you can share it only with selected members, and please note that the website also offers ad revenue sharing so you can even make money.
isoHunt has had a great idea, but at the moment it is unknown what the it’ll do if users will start sharing copyrighted content. Meanwhile, you can head over to TorrentFreak and get your hands on an invitation as Hexagon.cc is in the invite-only phase. Check it out, and let us know what do you think about this new BitTorrent service. If isoHunt ever develops an app for Hexagon.cc I’m curious if Apple will approve, and we will have this BitTorrent app on the iPhone.
