The HTC Hero is unquestionably the best Android smartphone available on the market so far, and the bad thing is that it’s not present in the US. According to some recent reports inspired by a few FCC leaks, the HTC Hero is coming soon to Sprint and North Americans will be able to get a taste of the full Android experience, something that the T-Mobile G1, and T-Mobile myTouch 3G cannot provide.
Don’t think that the HTC Hero is perfect cause it’s not. It has several flaws because of the Android OS, and it’s very slow due to its small RAM / ROM. The Hero was the first Android smartphone with a customizable UI, the HTC Sense UI which is great but made the phone run slow. The good thing is that the HTC Hero is getting and update, and you can see a video below the post that shows how fast the handheld will run after the update.
The iPhone 3GS runs very fast, the Palm Pre too, but the HTC Hero doesn’t meet those demands. According to Paul from MoDaCo, HTC will release an update for the Hero and speed will enter the phone’s dictionary. Please note that the phone in the video doesn’t feature the final update, it’s only a preview and if it runs so smooth and so fat then who knows hows fast the Hero will be with the full update.
Check out the video and let us know what do you think about the HTC Hero running so fast! I hope it doesn’t feel dizzy!
