Google Chrome 3 Stable Release Comes With Speed, Themes, And New Tab Page
It’s almost a year since Google released the first stable Chrome version, and these guys move fast as today you can download Google Chrome 3.0. Yeah, that’s true. Some of you already know that Chrome 3.0 has been in beta for a couple of months now, but the version has been declared stable and it’s now available for download for everyone. If you don’t know how to upgrade from 2.0 to 3.0 then hit the settings button, go to “About Google Chrome” and it will say that there is a new version available for download. Click download, wait for the process to be finalized and that’s it.
If you thought that Chrome can’t get any faster than this then you were wrong as 3.0 is faster than 2.0. How does this sound? Google Chrome is all about speed and simplicity and Chrome 3 is faster than any other stable releases considering the V8 and SunSpider Javascript benchmarks.
Google Chrome 3 features a new tab page as you can arrange your thumbnails using drag & drop, the colors have been changed, an improved Omnibox which comes packed with contextual icons for sites, searches, bookmarks, and others, HTML5 is now standard for a richer web experience, and Themes making the browser customizable. Actually, besides speed Google wanted to make Chrome more customizable and more fun to use and I cannot wait for the Chrome 4 dev release.
The browser is available for download now, but only for Windows computers. Well, if you are not using Google Chrome 3 then you should give it a try because it’s absolutely great.
