Best Buy Slates For August 23 Release The LG Chocolate Touch BL40 and Samsung Omnia 2
Something big is going to happen in the nest couple of weeks. I’m telling you something will happen like never happened before. August 23rd is that date which will bring with it a plethora of smartphones to most carriers. A screenshot of Best Buy’s plans has been leaked by BoyGeniusReport, and it shows that Samsung Omnia 2 will be available at Verizon (and Best Buy of course) on August 23 alongside a so-called LG Chocolate Touch that some believe that it’s not the long (wide) BL40, but we believe this is it.
The LG Chocolate Touch (probably the BL40) will hit Best Buy on August 23 and Verizon, just like the Samsung u450 Intensity, Samsung Rogue, and the Global AirCard (G2). Best Buy and AT&T are bringing Samsung Solstice and the LG Xenon (red) on August 23, while T-Mobile is getting the Samsung Gravity Berry. It seems like the BlackBerry Tour is heading to Best Buy although it’s already available at Sprint and Verizon on this date.
In the memo we can see the Android myTouch 3G and the August 5th date when T-Mobile released the phone, a so-called Samsung M330 that will come on September 8th, and the Samsung Reclaim, a green phone that will probably help saving the environment and which is coming on August 16th.
We’re most interested in the Samsung Omnia 2 that we’ve been waiting for a long time, and if it’s really it, the LG Chocolate Touch BL40. It seems like we’re celebrating Christmas on August 23 this year. It should be fun, but we need snow.
