A couple of weeks ago we found out that Archos is going to unveil a new tablet at an Android event in France. The Internet tablet is the Archos 5 which is part of the A5 series therefore we can expect even more Android-powered tablets from Archos. Although we didn’t know too much about the devices, B&H decided to accidentally leak some minor details, like the pricing and the storage versions.
Archos 5 features a 4.8-inch touchscreen, and it will be available in four versions: 16/32GB SSD at prices of $294/$270, and 160GB/500GB HDD at prices of $320/$420. According to a list in the video names, we can see that the Archos 5 Android tablet will feature 720p HD video output, but if this is indeed true then you will also need the DVR station which seems to be priced at $130.
Other details remain unknown and until the Archos 5 is unveiled, you can decide if you are going to buy this tablet. It’s not that expensive, and you’ve got a few good options to choose.
