The Ashes
Apple Might Ship Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard On August 28
This is a very uncommon thing for Apple as they never usually change dates or let something leak. However, everything has a beginning and now Apple’s UK store has listed the Mac OS X Snow Leopard release date: it is the rumored August 28. Although they’re not listing the actual product, the Apple Mac OS X Snow Leopard Up-to-Date program release date of August 28 means that the OS X 10.6 will become available on exactly that date.
Apple didn’t officially respond to this, but they didn’t remove the date either so I guess the listing wasn’t an accident. The problem is that most of other Apple online stores are listing “estimated shipping date of September” just like Apple said multiple times. So when is gonna happen? When will Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard be available? Is it one week from now? Or one month? Or will Apple unveil it at the iPod Event on September 9? Who knows… all we can do is wait.
