The Ashes
Apple Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard Official Release Date On August 28, Now Up For Pre-order
The rumored release date of the Mac OS X Snow Leopard was proven to be true. If you’re a Mac user then you’ll be very happy to know that OS X 10.6 is coming on August 28 for the small price of $29. Unlike Microsoft, Apple is releasing only an update to its OS, not a dozen and if you own a Mac powered by an Intel processor then the Snow Leopard shipping date is just 3 days away. Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard will come packed with a plethora of new features, updates, bug and security fixes, speed enhancements, and many more, and you wanna know the good thing? Upgrading is easy as usual.
Although Apple announced a while ago that Snow Leopard will arrive sometime in December, Steve Jobs probably thought that it would be better to focus on the iPod Event and on the tablet in the fall, and I’m telling you that the summer will end in fashion for Mac lovers.
Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard will sport a more responsive Finder, 80% faster backups compiled by the Time Machine, 64-bit Safari 4, Mail loading well… mails two time faster, redesigned QuickTime X which great new features, Grand General Dispatch, OpenCL support, Microsoft Exchange support, and many others for a very small price for a good OS.
Check out the Apple Store for more details, and be sure to let us know if you’ll upgrade!
P.S. Apple Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard is available for pre-order!
